Emergency/Organisation
Aims and principles of first aid
Head to Toe Survey
Management of the unconscious
casualty
Bleeding and traumatic amputation
Abdominal injuries
Loss of Circulation
Head Injuries
Back and neck injuries
Burns and caustic injuries, including
electrical and radiation
Fractures
Measuring Blood Pressure
Chest pains (Cardiac Illness)
Breathing Difficulties and seizures
Basic life support (CPR), including
the use of defibrillators, the use and maintenance of manual
resuscitators, manual suction devices, oropharyngeal airways
and Oxygen supplies
Assisting the nurse in the administration
of an infusion
Cold injuries - Hypothermia
Mental reactions and dealing with
stress (during accidents and disasters)
Accident site with several injured-Triage
at the scene of an accident
Chest Injuries
Completion: On successful completion of the course,
the delegate will receive an OLF approved, Basic First Aid
Certificate. This is valid for 2 years. All delegates also
receive a free pack including an up-to-date first aid manual.
